Pumpkin season is here (yay!) meaning fall crisp leaves are around the corner and it’s time to say goodbye to summer and hello to fall wardrobe.
The diversity in this season’s fall fashion trends is incredible. Retro hats, vintage furs, plaids, sparkly everything, and the deconstructed classics that we have all been seeing for a while. Below are six of my favorite fashion trends for fall. What do you want to wear this fall season?
Red is the IT color for Fall 2017. Not only is this a bright and happy color, but it is also a flattering color for most. Runway shows from Givenchy, Alexander McQueen and Proenza had everything from coats, statement boots and bags in this magnificently bold cherry color. Jason Wu’s red coat below is absolutely stunning. Can you say “Christmas gift?”
This is one of my favorite fall looks. Victorian collars are so feminine and have such a romantic style to them. There are various styles including lace, silk, mesh, etc. that you can pair with jeans for a relaxed feminine look, or wear it with a skirt for an ultra classy and sexy look. These can be complemented with large statement earrings or minimal earrings depending on your choice of style.
Leopard print is another big trend for this upcoming season. There are beautiful tops and cardigans you can find with this animal print however, this is one trend I like to accessorize with. You can find cool loafers or scarves that will give you that super trendy, super modern look without having to fully dress in animal print.
The beauty of accessories such as belts, is that you can use them repeatedly while changing up your style to update your classic pieces. This is a trend that you can inexpensively incorporate to your already existing wardrobe. Wide belts, just like victorian collars, can be quite feminine as they are slimming and enhance a woman’s “hourglass” figure. Who can complain about that?
Silver and Gold, Silver and Gold
Everyone wishes for silver and gold! Remember that song from Burl Ives in Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer? Never mind! Moving on… silver galactic, futuresque, gold, sequins, glitter basically all things that sparkle are the hit this fall season. And who doesn’t like things that sparkle? Check out these cool glitter Chanel boots and beautiful black velvet with gold sequence gown below for an ultra glamorous night.
Jewel Tone Velvet
Velvet is back this season, but this year designers added more jewel tone colors making velvet even more appealing than before. You will see brighter tones such as yellow, red, pink and blue. Who doesn’t want to dress in a soft, velvety jewel tone hue? For a more versatile look, you can also go with a more traditional color that works with multiple colors such as the classic black.
