Ahi Tuna Poke Bowl

Delicious and healthy ahi tuna poke bowl. This recipe is super easy and takes no more than half hour to make. You can make it with rice or without it to make it into an even lighter meal with only the salad and poke. You can add as little or as many toppings as you would like! Be creative and enjoy! Bon Appétit!

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ahi tuna steak cut into 3/4 inch cubes
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp. sesame oil
  • 1 tsp. rice vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp. red pepper flakes
  • 1/3 cup sliced green onion
  • 1/2 tsp. sesame seeds
  • 1 avocado in small cubes
  • 1 shredded carrot
  • 1/2 cup red or yellow bell pepper
  • 2 cups salad greens
  • 2 cups cooked white or brown rice

Instructions

  • In a large bowl combine and stir ahi tuna with soy sauce, sesame oil, vinegar, green onion, pepper flakes, and sesame seeds
  • In a separate bowl mix salad greens with carrots, bell pepper and avocado
  • To serve, add rice in a bowl, followed by salad and then poke tuna on top

Notes

Additionally you can add other toppings: wasabi, pickled ginger, cucumber, jalapeno, seaweed, mango, crab meat etc.
